Four competitions will be taking place in Augusta:
Artist’s Choice judging will be held at The Harmonie-Verein/American Legion Hall in Augusta at Church St. & Hackman St. The first round of judging will take place at 12:00 PM. The top paintings will be set aside for a second round of judging starting at 1:00 PM and ending at 5:30 PM with the Artists’ Choice winner announced 5:45 PM, followed by a champagne toast.
The semi-finalist winners from Artists’ Choice will be on display for the Peoples’ Choice live voting from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Online voting for People’s Choice on FaceBook will begin at 2:00 PM and close at 6:00 AM on Sunday. The Peoples’ Choice winner will be announced at the Final Sale on Sunday, April 30 at 11:00 AM.
Artists will have the entire 2018 festival to work on a painting with the theme: “Life on the Farm.” These paintings will be turned in Saturday, April 28 at the Augusta Train Station (corner of Locust & Lower Sts.) for 11:00 AM judging.The $500 purchase prize is sponsored by the Silly Goose Restaurant, along with the Cookie Doe Bakery.
Nocturne Paint – Artists will have the entire 2018 festival to complete a Nocturne Painting for judging on Saturday at 12:00 PM at Harmonie-Verein/American Legion. All artists are eligible to compete (even those who have won previous $500 purchase prizes). $500 purchase prize sponsored by Gary Nadeau.
Art will be on display at various locations and available for our pre-sale throughout the day Saturday.
Celebrate another year of hard work painting with fellow artists and friends in Augusta at the final night Dance Party.
$5 admission with proceeds to benefit the Augusta Heritage Foundation in efforts to renovate the American Legion Hall as the Harmonie-Verein (the original name of the building when it was the arts and cultural center of Augusta.) American Legion Hall Legionnaires will be selling pork steak sandwiches, and Augusta Heritage Foundation will have a cash bar.
